The course is open to the general public who wishes to get a more in-depth look
at PHP. With that said we do recommend those parties that are interested in
taking the course have a basic knowledge of the HTML, familiar with a previous
language. Participants should understand the basics of cookies, HTTP, browsers,
etc. The class is not
structured to be an "Intro to web development" or a hand holding
session for someone wishing to learn web development from scratch. A
novice taking the class will definitely have an eye opening experience.
However, those of you who are advanced in web development will still
gain a lot from this course - our instructors have worked on large
scale PHP sites, so you'll gain real-world insight into issues of
scalability, optimization, security considerations, and more.
